Our founder Carol Shields, is a strategic and forward-thinking leader with decades of progressive experience in the healthcare and nonprofit sectors. As a passionate communicator, she has led transformative initiatives that have shaped culture, driven performance, and elevated organizations to new standards of excellence.
Throughout her career —she led teams through award-winning journeys such as the Malcolm Baldrige Quality Award. Carol’s strategic oversight and deep knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles have resulted in significant cost savings, sustainable improvements, and a measurable impact on people and systems. Her secret sauce has been her ability to meet people where they are at and find the human within that is meant to shine brighter.
At the heart of it all, we are driven by one clear purpose: to help people and organizations evolve into their highest potential. This is why Fruition Through, LLC was created. In this space, we guide leaders, change-makers, and growth-minded individuals through transformational work that is grounded, intentional, and aligned with who they truly are. We believe that real change starts from within—and when rooted in clarity and purpose, it leads to fruition that is lasting and authentic.

05 — The Why Behind Our Name
Carol likes to choose a word to meditate and or pray over each year. In 2020, she chose Fruition. During this pivotal year, she was contemplating what it would look like to start Fruition Through and it started out as a website in which she shared her own transformational journey. Over time the vision grew and Fruition Through LLC was born! So, why keep the name? Fruition means the realization of a plan—the act of producing fruit. Its roots come from the Latin frui: to enjoy. Through means moving from beginning to end—because of the process, not despite it.
At Fruition Through, we help individuals and leaders unlock the power within to move through the process—so achievement feels aligned, sustainable, and deeply fulfilling. Dare we say, enjoyable! Because success isn’t the only fruit we are after. It’s the growth that happens through soil. 🌿It’s the perfect time to invest in you and or your team!
